On 30 April 2012, AS Merko Ehitus / Krüger A/S (a Danish company belonging into the Veolia group of undertakings) and AS Narva Vesi entered into an agreement for performing the design and construction works of the water treatment plant of the city of Narva. During the course of construction, Mustajõe water intake will be reconstructed and brought to compliance with technical and technological requirements, and a new water treatment plant of Narva will be constructed. Design work will start immediately after entry into the procurement contract; construction and reconstruction works can start from the beginning of the year 2013. The term for the delivery of works is spring 2015.
The cost of the contract is EUR 21.1 million to which value added tax is added.
