Horgen, May 23, 2012 - As part of the ongoing focus on the core business with lightweight components for the mass transportation sector and industry, Airex Composites Structures in Altenrhein, which belongs to 3A Composites, is divesting its Automotive unit.

Airex Composites Structures has signed an agreement with Wethje Carbon Composites Group in Hengersberg, Germany, on the sale of the unit's assets and orders at hand for an amount in the low single-digit million range. The Automotive unit generated revenues of around CHF 6 million per year in the past. As part of this focus on the core business, all jobs at the Altenrhein site will be retained. The transaction should be concluded by the end of June 2012.
