ATLANTA, June 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) Board of Directors today announced that Sharon Bare Cook, vice president and director of corporate communications for Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta and Margaret Austin Lisi, vice president of communications and account strategy for Object 9, have been selected as new members. The term is effective July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2015.

Sharon Cook has been a marketing and communications leader in Atlanta's financial services industry for 12 years. She joined Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta in 2008, and was promoted to director of corporate communications in 2011. She has successfully managed the company's communications and reputational risk strategies during one of the worst financial crises in history, including integrating strong media relationships, a brand refresh and refining the overall marketing strategy. Margaret Lisi oversees all communications, public relations and media relations strategy for Object 9. "Sharon and Margaret are incredibly smart additions to the PADV Board of Directors," said Anne Bowen Long, chair of PADV Board of Directors. "With these additions we are primed to execute new communications strategies that will undoubtedly aid our goal in rallying support for our cause and making the topic easier to discuss."

"PADV is moving into a new era," said Meagan Fulmer, President & Chief Executive Officer of PADV. "Our organizational shift and outreach highlights our intense desire to make everyone think differently about domestic violence, and hopefully compel the Atlanta community to immediate action to support our cause.
