SOTKAMO SILVER HAS STARTED RECRUITMENTS IN ORDER TO PREPARE FOR CONSTRUCTION AND PRODUCTION IN THE TAIVALJÄRVI SILVER MINE

Sotkamo Silver has opened a Technical Office in Sotkamo and started
recruitments in order to prepare for construction and production in the
Taivaljärvi Silver Mine.


In order to strengthen the organisation Sotkamo Silver has appointed Mr. Hannu
Pietilä as Project Manager. He has more then 20 years industry experience. He
has managed production-line expansions and worked as Energy Manager at UPM
Kajaani. Last years he has worked at the Talvivaara Mining Company at different
manager positions. He has M.SC. degree in Process Engineering from Oulu
University.

The Company has also appointed Mr. Erkki Kovalainen as Senior Advisor. He has
worked more than 30 years in different management positions in the mining and
minerals industry. His experience covers construction, maintenance and
production. He has M.SC. degree in Process Engineering from Oulu University.

Ms. Birgit Bergström joins the new Sotkamo office as Office Administrator. She
has 25 years experience in administration inclusive accounting and human
resources. She has a commercial education.

In order to prepare for construction and production recruitments will continue.
Professionals are needed for following positions: Mine Manager, Mine Planner,
Mining Engineer, Mine Supervisor, Mine Surveyor, Production Geologist,
Accounting Manager, a Secretary with IT-skills, Research/Process Engineer,
Plant Supervisors, Laboratory Assistants, Mine Workers, Process Workers and
Maintenance Workers.

Mr. Jouko Jylänki left the Company as Chief Technical Officer at the end of
August. He left on own request and in the best agreement with Board and
Management. He will concentrate in his own Company and its projects.
