BEIJING, Sept. 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The China Youth Development Foundation Flying with You project will launch its public service training program at campus in November 2012, which is the beginning of the integration of vocational education with public service training in China. The China Youth Development Foundation is one of China's largest charities, and the Foundation's Hope Project is China's most wide-ranging public welfare initiative, with 5.67 billion Yuan in total funds and a scope to build 15,940 Hope primary schools to provide education to the underprivileged.
Since 2003, the China Youth Development Foundation Flying with You project focuses on vocational education for college students throughout China. Through the vocational training program, which consists of a regular training program and an annual competition, more than several hundred thousand students, including those with disabilities, have been able to obtain a vocational education. Before 2012, students graduate from the program with business knowledge, technical training, and social survival and adaption capability.
Since 2012, The Flying with You vocational project is starting to integrate with public service training, and gain generous support from a number of leading philanthropic organizations and businesses in China. The program will be offered via a series of training classes on campuses in China, as well as a philanthropic competition organized by a number of charities in China. In addition, this project will include events to raise money for philanthropic initiatives, stage large-scale performances to catch public attention, and promote a sense of social responsibility in the workplace for undergraduate interns and workers.
While China's booming economy has created prosperity, it has also posed challenges to society through environmental degradation and uneven economic development. However, nowadays, the social environment requires that every citizen could not regard individual success as the only goal of life. Every citizen should take social responsibility. Only in this way could we make business become the positive power to promote social development.
The Flying with You vocational education project's goal is to instill an obligation in businesses to benefit greater society through every employee. With this aspiration in mind, the China Youth Development Foundation provides technical and vocational training to the future of business in China, with the hope that more and more young people will form a caring and responsible force in the workplace.
