A Celebration of European Film Returns to Toronto

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 30, 2012) - One of the most multicultural cities in the world is gearing up for the 8th annual European Union Film Festival (EUFF), an artistic collaboration presented by Toronto EU Consulates and Cultural Institutes including: Alliance Française, British Council, Goethe Institut and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura. Open to the public with free admission, the Festival celebrates excellence with national and international award-winning films. The EUFF will feature 30 films from 27 countries and will be held November 14 to November 27, 2012 at the Royal Cinema, a historical Art Moderne cinema at 608 College Street, in the heart of Little Italy. On this first occasion, all 27 EU Countries are participating in the EUFF Toronto 2012.

About European Union Film Festival Toronto

Established in 2004, the Toronto European Union Film Festival was conceived as a celebration of European film by EU Consulates and Cultural Institutes. The EUFF reflects the excellence, innovation and diversity of European cinema. The Festival will feature the Canadian premieres of over 10 European films and a selection of films premiered at Cannes, TIFF, Venice, Berlin FF, Sundance FF and other international festivals.

Beyond the Festival screenings, Nik Powell, renowned British Producer, Director of the National Film and Television School, will conduct Producer & Screenwriter Master Classes open to the public with free admission at Ryerson University, School of Image Arts on November 18th.
