MacAulay-Brown Welcomes National Security Veteran and Former CIA Senior Intelligence Officer Mark P. Chadason as Senior Vice President

Recipient of Distinguished Intelligence Career Medal to Lead MacB's Newly Formed National Security Group

Dayton, Ohio, Dec. 10, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that Mark P. Chadason has joined the company as a Senior Vice President. He will lead the newly formed National Security Group (NSG) and manage MacB's National Capital Headquarters in Vienna, Va. As head of NSG, Chadason will be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with National Intelligence, Homeland Security and Defense Intelligence customers throughout the United States. Chadason will report directly to MacB's President and CEO, Sid Fuchs.

Prior to joining MacB, Chadason was Senior Vice President of the Space, Security, Cyber and Intelligence (SSCI) Business Unit at ManTech. As head of SSCI, Chadason managed four major divisions that focused on mission support to CIA, DIA, DNI, DoD, NRO, NSA, additional Intelligence Community agencies and several military commands. In this position, Chadason was responsible for 1,300 employees with annual revenue of over $250 million. He also served as executive officer of the Special Programs Oversight Committee (SPOC) on ManTech's Board of Directors, where he was responsible for the oversight of a large number of special access and highly sensitive or hazardous programs.

"As I weighed my options, I spent a significant amount of time getting to know MacB's senior management team," said Chadason. "It quickly became clear that their primary focus was on the mission, as well as providing innovative technologies and going above and beyond for their customers. This is something I highly coveted from vendor relationships when I was with the CIA. I look forward to working closely with the team to further that customer commitment."

Prior to joining ManTech, Chadason spent 31 highly distinguished years at the CIA and with the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Senior Intelligence Service officer (SIS-4). He also served as the Chief of Station in several strategic foreign and domestic CIA installations working with senior foreign leaders. In Washington, he served in senior CIA positions where he interacted with the National Security Council, the White House and numerous Congressional committees. Overseas, Chadason specialized in initiating, managing and implementing impactful and high-risk projects in foreign locations such as North Africa, Europe, South Asia and the Middle East. In addition, he spent 22 years as an active duty and reserve officer in the United States Marine Corps, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

"I could not be more pleased to welcome someone with Mark's outstanding credentials to our team," said Fuchs. "Over the past year, we have significantly increased our already outstanding National Security expertise. Mark is exactly the right person to lead the NSG, providing our customers with the services and solutions that matter most to them."

In the past 12 months, MacB has announced the addition of former U.S. Ambassador at Large for Counterterrorism, Lieutenant General (Ret.) Dell L. Dailey and 30 year CIA veteran Joanne Isham as strategic advisors on National Security issues.

Chadason received his Master's degree in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University School for Advanced International Studies, and holds a BA in International Relations from Lake Forest College. He also attended the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, The Aspen Institute Executive Seminar and the Kellogg School of Management. His awards include: Distinguished Intelligence Career Medal, Intelligence Commendation Medal, Several Senior Intelligence service awards and the 1993 Humint Collector of the year. In 2011, Chadason became a board member of the CIA Officers Memorial Foundation. He is fluent in Russian and Polish, and has a working-level knowledge of Greek and French.
