Bose headphones basically cancel sound with sound, and that same principle is being applied to vehicles. The system identifies the unwanted engine, wind or road noise using information it receives from multiple microphones throughout the interior and creates an acoustically opposite signal that operates continuously. You can still hear everything that you are supposed to hear in the car, but you are eliminating the unpleasant sounds.
This new feature will be a part of the new Buick Encore, available in dealerships early 2013.
