MacAulay-Brown Receives Renewal of SEI CMMI Level 3 Software Engineering Rating for Quality Assurance, Project Management and Continuous Process Improvement

DAYTON, Ohio, Dec. 18, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) has renewed its top rating of MacB's management and software engineering best practices. The SEI Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 rating is highly coveted due to its rigorous assessment of a vendor's software and systems engineering, program management and organizational process management capabilities.

"MacB is well known for its commitment to providing advanced engineering services and national security solutions," said Mark Chadason, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MacB's National Security Group. "Receiving the SEI CMMI Level 3 rating demonstrates that the best practice we employ throughout the enterprise exceeds industry standards, which is the backbone of our total commitment to quality and customer satisfaction."

The SEI CMMI is a comprehensive framework for benchmarking the industry's management and engineering best practices. The Level 3 capability and maturity level ratings were determined using SEI's Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) for Class A appraisals. The basis for the appraisal was the CMMI for Software Engineering. For additional information, click here.
