Hart Energy's GIS Data Posts Record Quarterly Results

More than 41,000 miles of pipelines added first quarter 2013


HOUSTON, TEXAS, April 9, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hart Energy's Mapping and Data Services unit (formerly known as Rextag Strategies) today announced its best quarter ever, as it added more than 41,000 pipeline miles to its GIS pipeline database — for a franchise record of 1,053,851 miles. This significant milestone reflects the continued investments in data research and developments, and continued growth of the industry's leading mapping service platform.

  • Added thousands of miles of oil and gas gathering systems in the Appalachian, Bakken, Rocky Mountains, and states such as Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah
  • Updated ownerships of many different systems which have changed possession after multiple mergers and acquisitions
  • Complete re-processing of all Texas pipeline data
  • Dramatically improved spatial alignment for natural gas pipelines in Colorado, Kansas, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming

FACILITIES

  • Gas storage

         -Updated spatial alignment on more than 15 percent of facilities
          -Updated ownerships and other attributes

  • Gas processing

          -Updated spatial alignment on more than 75 percent of facilities
          -Updated ownerships and other attributes

  • Gas compressor

          -Updated spatial alignment on more than 60 percent of facilities
          -Added hundreds of facilities

OIL & GAS WELLS

  • Completely replaced and updated all well data for Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Ohio, and Texas
