Danny Seraphine, Founding Member of Chicago, Shares Music Education with Youth

California Transit Authority's New Album Proceeds Benefit The Fender Music Foundation for Students

SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- California Transit Authority (CTA), which features founding Chicago drummer Danny Seraphine, celebrates its new album Sacred Ground by supporting music education with its release. CTA has teamed up with the Fender Music Foundation to donate 10 percent of the album's net profits to help provide instruments to music classrooms, after school programs and music therapy programs.

Seraphine and his CTA band mates truly understand that learning to play musical instruments can saves lives. Their goal with this project is to revitalize the jazz/rock genre, which has largely been neglected in today's mainstream music. In addition, CTA has put together an amazing set of incentives to reward fans for their commitment to this project, including autographed CDs, VIP tickets to their album release party at the 2013 NAMM show and passes to upcoming concerts.

CTA will be headlining a private concert at the House of Blues, San Diego on April 13, hosted by Emerald Data Solutions™, Inc. -- developer of BoardDocs® paperless meeting solutions, in conjunction with the National School Board Association's Annual Conference.
