QPR to present its business oriented Enterprise Architecture environment at the Gartner EA Summit

As Platinum sponsor of one of the most comprehensive and respected Enterprise Architecture events in the world, QPR will present the QPR EnterpriseArchitect software and the related QPR Operational Development Model –methodology to senior enterprise architects, strategists, systems analysts and  IT innovation teams at the Gartner 2013 Enterprise Architecture Summit on 14-15 May in London, UK.

The QPR EnterpriseArchitect software offers all stakeholders involved in operational development a single design and collaboration environment where all enterprise architecture dimensions can be modeled and communicated effectively.

“Business users favor QPR EnterpriseArchitect as it is easy to learn and speeds up the work for business architecture modeling. With the same comprehensive tool also IT organizations can effectively model the information and system architecture and combine these in order to get a holistic view. Together the entire organization can evaluate the effects of changes and discover the business impacts. Collaboration is made easy with efficient sharing possibilities using QPR Portal”, says Mr. Tero Aspinen, Partnership Director at QPR.

The product serves a broad range of needs for different customers, also for those who are already using a comprehensive enterprise architecture approach. For IT oriented customers the software offers a tool attracting also business users, but at the same time it offers a comprehensive set of ICT service and infrastructure management functionalities. For process oriented customers QPR EnterpriseArchitect offers more than just the possibility to model the business dimension by including information and ICT system dimensions in their work.

The QPR Operational Development Model, based on enterprise architecture and embedded into QPR EnterpriseArchitect software, is a pragmatic way to look at entities within the organization. The model does not force customer to adopt any new philosophies or paradigms, but instead helps the current development function perform more efficiently.

“The Model ensures that your operations are in line with strategy. Thanks to the Model, you can develop your operations in an agile way to better fit strategic requirements as well as respond faster and more efficiently to changes in operational and competitive environments”, describes Mr. Matti Eerola, the Head of Process Consulting at QPR Software.

A focal role in QPR’s total Summit message is reserved to the “Aalto University Merger: Pragmatic Enterprise Architecture by the Book" presentation to be given by the Head of Architecture at Aalto University, Mr. Patrik Maltusch and QPR SVP, Products and Technology, Mr. Jaakko Riihinen.

The Aalto University was founded as a result of a merger between three independent Finnish universities. Combining technology, arts and economics, Aalto University is going through a post-merger integration normally only seen within the private sector.

“Aalto has established an enterprise architecture program, and is doing it by the book - and it works!”, Eerola says.

At the Summit QPR Software is also looking for partner prospects.

“We trust QPR EnterpriseArchitect with its embedded operational development methodology is a very lucrative supplement, especially to business development software resellers, methodology consultants or resellers of complementary enterprise architecture tools who currently lack in their portfolio a business oriented tool for modeling all dimensions of enterprise architecture”, says Tero Aspinen.
