Saxlund and Kellve in cooperation on bioenergy order for Katrinefors Heat & Power

Saxlund Bioenergy AB, a subsidiary of Opcon, the energy and environmental
technology Group, together with the main contractor Kellve Sweden AB, will be
delivering the exterior material handling equipment for Katrinefors new CHP
-plant. Saxlund’s part of the order value amounts to around 5 m SEK for the
delivery of Saxlund’s well-established and robust material handling equipment
including fuel silo, transport and screening systems. The entire system will be
designed for handling primarily waste wood.

The new CHP-plant that is being constructed next to Metsä Tissue’s factory in
Mariestad is a modern plant with the capacity to handle a range of different
fuels for the production of process steam, electricity and the lionpart of the
district heating needed in Mariestad’s district heating grid.

- Our robust and well-tried construction for material handling gives reliability
and advantages when handling difficult materials like waste wood as they are
going to do here. To work with Kellve who is a leading Swedish manufacturer of
conveyors also mean that together we can offer tailor-made solutions of the
utmost quality for maximum reliability, says Stefan Wallerman, managing Saxlund
Bioenergy AB.
