UPDATE: TelVue(R) Launches "The Knowledge Network" Channel on Roku(R)

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ--(Marketwired - Jul 19, 2013) - TelVue®Corporation (PINKSHEETS: TEVE), the innovation leader in Television and Internet Broadcasting for media companies, cable operators, and communities has launched The Knowledge Network (tKN) channel. The Knowledge Network, powered by TelVue CloudCast™, is now available to more than five million Roku users through the Roku Channel Store.

The Knowledge Network showcases educational programs and scientific research through a collection of videos produced by a consortium of universities and institutions. Programs are available on a linear channel and video-on-demand, and include documentary-length productions, public lectures, science and technology news features, and short-form public educational materials.

"TelVue is proud to bring The Knowledge Network to Roku's growing collection of educational channels," said Paul Andrews, TelVue's Senior VP for Sales and Marketing. "We have been working closely with The Knowledge Network consortium, not only on the development of the new Roku Channel, but also on the digital media management system that enables efficient aggregation of content from contributing educational institutions."

The cloud-based TelVue Connect™ content management system used by The Knowledge Network allows easy aggregation of videos from its content contributors, no matter what the original format or the location of the contributing organization. TelVue Connect was designed specifically to support collaborative channels. The TelVue CloudCast™ Hosted Broadcast service enables web-based scheduling of the linear channel, management of the on-demand videos, and the ultimate delivery to Roku.
