Convercent Hosts Today's Rocky Mountain Tech Meetup to Grow and Inspire Denver's Tech Hub

Convercent Unveils New Office as Event Kicks Off

DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Jul 23, 2013) - Convercent, providers of integrated culture and compliance solutions, today celebrates the Denver technology community by hosting the Rocky Mountain Tech Meetup, an event bringing together city and state technology leadership with the enterprising Denver technology community for an intimate conversation about the area's future as a thriving hub of innovation.

The event is organized in partnership with the Colorado Technology Association (CTA), and will feature keynote remarks from Mayor Michael B. Hancock and Colorado Secretary of Technology & Chief Information Officer Kristin Russell, in addition to a dynamic panel discussion with executives from Inspirato, TrackVia, Grotech Ventures, in addition to Convercent CEO Patrick Quinlan. The panel session will be hosted by Denver Business Journal's Greg Avery.

The Rocky Mountain Tech Meetup will also serve as the official opening of Convercent's brand new downtown Denver office. The new location, supported by the City of Denver in the form of generous financing, will help Convercent scale and grow as well as support the city's greater tech scene by providing open meeting space for local entrepreneurs.

"We are dedicated to being a long-term, active part of the exciting shift happening in this entrepreneurial community," said Convercent CEO Patrick Quinlan. "Today's event is a groundbreaking of sorts, as this new office will not only be the launchpad as we expand our business and recruit the area's brightest minds, but help further establish this region as the place to be for entrepreneurs."

A wide range of entrepreneurs, students, technology professionals and friends will gather at Convercent today for the Rocky Mountain Tech Meetup to discuss what it takes to successfully start a company in Denver, where the greatest business opportunities lie and what attributes make Denver's technology scene distinct from others in the nation. Speakers at the Rocky Mountain Tech Meetup include:

  • Michael B. Hancock, Mayor of Denver
  • Kristin Russell, Secretary of Technology & Chief Information Officer
  • Erik Mitisek, CEO of the Colorado Technology Association
  • Greg Avery, reporter for Denver Business Journal
  • Joe Zell, Partner at Grotech Ventures
  • David Kallery, President of Inspirato

"Denver's growing technology sector is critical to our city's emergence as a global competitor," Mayor Hancock said. "The city celebrates and embraces Denver's entrepreneurial culture. We will continue our strong support of high-growth companies, like Convercent, that are defining Denver as a leader in the ideas economy and a competitor on the international stage."
