Quincy Data Chooses NovaSparks for Its NASDAQ ITCH Data

Quincy Data Takes Advantage of NovaSparks 1.4 Microsecond 'Wire to Memory' Performance to Extend Its Latency Lead on the Carteret to Aurora Route

NEW YORK and CHICAGO, July 25, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NovaSparks™, an FPGA market data company, announces that the NovaSparks pure FPGA NASDAQ ITCH book building solution has been selected by Quincy Data to upgrade its industry-leading QED (Quincy Extreme Data) service.

NovaSparks NASDAQ ITCH solution offers 'wire to memory' deterministic latencies of 1.4 microseconds while building a full depth book. This number was recently measured and audited by the Securities Technology Analysis Center (STAC), an independent technology-research firm. It includes all the tasks to receive, build and maintain a full depth of book starting at the time the first byte of the packet is received by the system to the time the output data is available for consumption by user applications in the server memory.

"This upgrade allows QED users to benefit from the low latency and determinism that only a pure FPGA solution can deliver," says Stephane Tyc, co-founder of Quincy Data. "NovaSparks solutions do not only bring speed, they also come with a rich set of features and functionalities that are typically found only in software feed-handlers," added Tyc.

"We are extremely proud to have been selected by Quincy Data," says Yves Charles, CEO of NovaSparks. "It validates NovaSparks leadership position in delivering deterministic processing of market data allowing trading firms to trade across all market conditions," concludes Charles.

Based on a pure FPGA matrix architecture, NovaSparks offers 27 feeds providing deterministic microsecond speeds for major Equities and Futures exchanges around the world. The Feed Handlers include a distribution layer to directly and concurrently connect up to 21 trading servers without any loss of performance.
