Sergio George, "Salsa Giants" & Top Stop Music Albums "Amor Total," "Leslie Grace," and "Que Seas Feliz" Receive Latin Grammy(R) Nominations

George Nominated for Producer of the Year Among Many Other Nods for Top Stop Music in a Banner Year for the Label

NEW YORK, Sept. 25, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Super producer Sergio George and Top Stop Music celebrate Seven Latin Grammy® award nominations, which were announced today. Nominations for Sergio George, Sergio George's Salsa Giants, Leslie Grace, Tito Nieves, Toby Love and production nominations for Sergio's work on Marc Anthony's latest project come on the heels of a summer that saw Top Stop dominate the Billboard Tropical Sales Chart, regularly holding the bulk of the top spots. The CD/DVD compilation "Salsa Giants," which celebrates 12,000 music fans gathering last summer at the "Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival" to witness a select group of renowned salsa musicians come together for a historical, one night event, spent four weeks at Number One before being dethroned by another Sergio George project, Marc Anthony's "3.0." 2013 has also seen high charting releases from Top Stop albums "Leslie Grace" and Prince Royce's "Number 1's." Sergio and Top Stop's nominations include:

  • Producer of the Year: Sergio George
  • Best Salsa Album: "Sergio George Presents Salsa Giants"
  • Best Salsa Album: Tito Nieves' "Que Seas Feliz"
  • Best Contemporary Tropical Album: Leslie Grace's "Leslie Grace"
  • Best Contemporary Tropical Album: Toby Love's "Amor Total"
  • Best Tropical Song: "Para Celebrar"
  • Record of the Year: "Vivir Mi Vida" performed by Marc Anthony and produced by Sergio George & Marc Anthony

"I am incredibly proud of all of these nominations," said Sergio George. "To be recognized by the Latin Grammys® is an honor and I'm grateful to my peers for this distinction. I am particularly proud of the 'Salsa Giants' collection, which has been a passion project for me."

The Salsa Giants concert begins with a brief piano introduction from George before a series of Salsa legends representing numerous cultures took the stage. Performances included Marc Anthony, Oscar D'León, Cheo Feliciano, Luis Enrique, Andy Montañez, Willy Chirino, José Alberto "El Canario," Tito Nieves, Nora from the "Orquesta de la Luz" and Charlie Zaa. Hits included "Fabricando Fantasías," "De Mí Enamórate," "Discúlpeme Señora," "Lo Que Está Pa' Ti," "Rebelión," "Yo No Sé Mañana," "Un Verano En Nueva York," "Llorarás" and "Tu Amor Me Hace Bien."
