Sweden, 2013-11-21 09:30 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
NASDAQ OMX-listed ZetaDisplay, a Nordic leader within in-store digital multi-channel communication, is now launching the market’s first automatic Facebook integration for retail stores. ZetaPlay, as the new service is called, enables simultaneous fast and flexible customer communication in every channel.
For many within the retail sector it is a challenge to reach their customer group via Facebook, as it relies on an active commitment, in the form of regular updates, which can be time-consuming. A survey of 5.7 million commercial Facebook pages that Recommend.ly carried out in 2012 showed that as much as 70% of the company pages were inactive and that visitor interest in such pages was declining.
“With Facebook integration and our ZetaPlay service it will be easier for traders to get closer to their customers wherever they may be, in the store or outside, at work or at home. We can see a major world-wide trend where regardless of the sales channel there is a desire to quickly and easily adapt offers and content. With ZetaPlay we want to make life easier for both stores and central offices to adapt their selling content freely to any channel where a dialogue is to take place,” explains Leif Liljebrunn, CEO of ZetaDisplay AB (publ).
ZetaPlay is a service and also a publication tool for omni and multi-channel communication, being a completely new cloud service enabling the publication of temporary local special offers and other news of interest to customers, partly by means of digital store signage but also on the store’s web site, on Facebook and in Internet advertising in the Internet editions of local newspapers. With ZetaPlay the user uploads content that is then published on all the associated channels in accordance with a predetermined time setting or else directly via mobile telephones.
In the autumn ICA Kvantum in Åhus started to use ZetaPlay to publish updated offer information on its own channels and Internet advertising, with everything from timed special offers to information about local events that the store had arranged or sponsored.
“By using the ZetaPlay publishing tool I can update the store’s Facebook page, its Internet web page and Internet advertising, including special offers, at any time, which is important for spreading the correct message at the right time to the right type of customer,” says Staffan Andersson, MD for ICA Kvantum in Åhus.
“ZetaPlay gives us the flexibility that is needed in order to be able to reach different customer groups with specially tailored offers in stores, on mobile phones and at home, whether they are pensioners who prefer to shop during the day, parents of small children who go to the store after work, or night owls who do their shopping late in the evening,” continues Staffan Andersson.
ZetaDisplay is a growth company that in 2011 was identified by Deloitte Fast 500 as one of Europe’s fastest growing technology companies. During 2012 the Group’s turnover increased by over 20% through sales from its own offices in the Nordic market. Since 2013 ZetaDisplay has begun operations in the European market, with expanded marketing investment and the establishment of its own sales offices in Benelux and the Baltic too. The aim of this has been to work with pan-European clients, whereby ZetaDisplay has entered into agreements to deliver its media platform with multi-communication services to European countries.

About Digital Signage and multi-channel communication
ZetaDisplay defines Digital Signage as a system for advertising, profiling and retail store communication, which forwards audio, images and film related to retail stores and information in the public environment. A Swedish name for Digital Signage translates as digital retailing communications. Solutions based on digital displays form a large part of the market, but development is proceeding towards the utilisation of more digital channels to communicate customer offers and other information. This is a matter of solutions that are integrated into social media and web sites, and apps for smart mobile phones and tablets which create interaction with customers. Development is also progressing towards integrating solutions with retailers’ cash registers for automatic price updating and the automatic switching of offers on the digital displays.
