Compass Place Awarded BOMA BESt Certification

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Dec. 6, 2013) - Canderel is proud to announce that Compass Place, located in Edmonton, has been granted BOMA BESt, Level 1 Certification. The property, which is owned by Canderel and managed by Humford Management Inc., has fulfilled all of the BOMA Go Green Best Practices.

A number of measures have been implemented at Compass Place to reduce the building's environmental footprint. Energy efficiency measures include the installation of new boilers and chillers, a lighting retrofit and the implementation of lighting motion-detectors in washrooms. In addition, low-flow toilets, urinals, faucets and fixtures are installed throughout the property and an office recycling program is in place to divert paper, cardboard, glass, plastic and metal away from landfill.
