RENO, NEVADA--(Marketwired - Dec. 6, 2013) - NAAA - Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is ready to celebrate 50 years of its iconic PT6® engine at the upcoming National Agricultural Aviation Association (NAAA)'s Annual Convention & Exposition, held just a few days before the December 22 anniversary mark. The convention will take place in Reno, Nevada, from December 9-12. P&WC is a United Technologies Corp. company (NYSE:UTX).
As a pre-show event, P&WC is inviting owners, operators and maintenance personnel of its PT6A engines to attend a Pilot Familiarization and Technical Review Seminar. PT6A operators and enthusiasts will meet with P&WC's experts to get up-to-the-minute information on PT6A support initiatives and maintenance insights, along with a historical retrospective highlighting 50 years of the legendary PT6 turboprop engine, and more. Attendees will also have the chance to win a tuition-free customer training seat at a Flight Safety International facility and limited edition PT6 50th anniversary leather jackets.

During the event, the P&WC booth (#910) will have a PT6A-67 engine on display and will be staffed by engine and aftermarket experts to answer questions from customers and NAAA participants.
- The PT6 Nation microsite (PT6Nation.com), the hub of the PT6 engine's 50th anniversary celebrations, will be on demo and will include:
-- a new mobile application designed to give P&WC's 10,000 engine operators instant access to a host of services available on all models of wireless handheld, tablet or laptop devices
-- a new eStore showcasing a vintage collection of PT6 engine memorabilia
-- a one-of-a-kind inspirational PT6 engine video also available on YouTube
-- a documentary series featuring interviews with "The Legends Behind the Legend," Pratt & Whitney Canada's PT6 engine pioneers.
