Charitable "Fat Tuesday" at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill -- 3/4


FULLERTON, Calif., Feb. 10, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Where better to celebrate an authentic New Orleans-style 'Fat Tuesday' than Bourbon Street Bar and Grill, featuring the legendary Bourbon Street Hurricane cocktail for charity, located at 110 E. Commonwealth Ave. in Fullerton on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 11am-2am.

In keeping with the theme of Fat Tuesday, Bourbon Street will be offering their signature Hurricane drink with proceeds benefitting Fullerton Cares Autism Foundation, and also their full menu of New Orleans-style Cajun cuisine, including Bourbon Street signatures dishes Louisiana chicken gumbo with dirty rice, rock shrimp jambalaya, Creole red beans ands rice, BBQ glazed pork belly sloppy joe, and catfish po' boy on a baguette. Says co-owner Larry Houser, "Fat Tuesday is traditionally a day to eat delicious, hearty and savory foods, and we proudly carry on this tradition at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill each year."

To kickoff the of Mardi Gras festivities, Saturday March 1 will feature a 3,000-person FREE family carnival benefit, 'Mardi Gras for Autism' featuring Aquarium of the Pacific's mobile aquarium, Fullerton High School Circus Club, and more held outside Bourbon Street Bar and Grill in the adjacent Fullerton Train Depot parking lot located at 110 E. Commonwealth Ave. in Fullerton on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Not just during Fat Tuesday, but everyday, Bourbon Street proudly supports charitable initiatives in Fullerton and beyond. In 2014 alone, the restaurant has donated significantly to homelessness in Fullerton, bringing cases of food to feed 200 homeless individuals through the Coast to Coast Foundation in Fullerton, supported our troops with the first of many 'Unpretentious Wine Thursday' events with proceeds going to military charities, and a percentage of every purchase at Bourbon Street goes back to charity everyday through their partnership with Swipe4TheKids, an innovative credit card processing service, donating back to local charities with each swipe.
