Ray Colwell Joins Nexage as SVP of Global Business Development

Former Adelphic Executive to Lead Global Strategy & Growth of Nexage's Programmatic Ecosystem

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Apr 9, 2014) - Nexage, the leading premium mobile advertising exchange, today announced Ray Colwell has joined its executive team as senior vice president of global business development. Colwell brings significant experience in building businesses and a deep understanding of the digital landscape to Nexage. He will lead efforts to grow Nexage's programmatic ecosystem. Colwell will be based in Nexage's Boston headquarters and will report to CEO, Ernie Cormier.

Nexage's programmatic ecosystem is enabled by the ability to integrate different market capabilities via APIs in the Nexage Exchange. The most obvious opportunity is integrating and delivering 3rd party behavioral, contextual, universal ID, and location data through Nexage Connect. In addition, Nexage integrates privacy and malware detection solutions as part of Nexage Protect, and custom rich media and video ad units to expand brands' creative palette in mobile. These examples point to a fundamental yet vital part of the Nexage Exchange: the ability to create an open integration hub that brings best-in-class capabilities to the premium market, all through a single connection point.

The ecosystem helps shape and fuel Nexage's programmatic markets -- the open exchange, private exchange, and programmatic direct markets -- to create a data-rich, brand-safe environment for premium publishers and brand advertisers.

"We've been actively building out our programmatic ecosystem to deliver the full value of data and partner solutions to premium publishers and brand advertisers on the Nexage Exchange," said Cormier. "We're seeing incredible support and momentum for our exchange-based data and solution provider ecosystem, and have aggressive plans to deepen existing relationships and build new ones. Bringing Colwell on board gives us the support and expertise needed to propel our programmatic partner ecosystem even further."

Prior to joining Nexage, Colwell served as the chief revenue officer of Adelphic, a leading mobile ad targeting solution and DSP. Before Adelphic, he was CRO of 4INFO where he led mobile media sales and business development and was responsible for transitioning the SMS platform company into a premium content, audience based mobile network. Colwell also served as senior vice president of Third Screen Media (acquired by AOL), and launched the leading mobile video platform and network, Transpera (acquired by Tremor). He also served in various management roles at Collective, Yahoo, Lycos, Engage and Pointcast.
