COSTA MESA, Calif., May 5, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Employees of Morgan Drexen Integrated Systems, an Orange County California leading provider of software and support services to businesses nationwide, (http://www.morgandrexen.com), have announced a Mother's Day fundraising event to raise money in support of March of Dimes. The company has chosen to take the opportunity to use Mother's Day as a way of raising awareness for the organization dedicated to improving the health of babies.
Morgan Drexen's fundraising event will take place on Friday May 9th at the company's headquarters in Costa Mesa, and will be a "one-stop shop" for all that is Mother's Day. The event which runs from 11am to 1pm will provide chocolate sales by Godiva, manicures and make-up by students from the Paul Mitchell School, and "Mother's Day Teddy Bears" to take home to mom for a minimum $5 dollar donation.
"Once a year, we all take a day to honor our mother on Mother's Day, so what better time than the Friday before Mother's Day to help raise awareness of the great work that March of Dimes does to help mothers have healthier babies," said Morgan Drexen's Manager of Human Resources, Dina Iglesias. "We've ordered special teddy bears which carry a 'Happy Mother's Day' mini pillow and will give them to any of our more than 200 employees who make a donation to March of Dimes."
Morgan Drexen, a huge supporter of charitable organizations both locally and nationally has made it a point to support institutions like the March of Dimes, American Red Cross, UNICEF, and Children's Hospital of Orange County as a way of giving back to the community.
