The Royal Canadian Circus Updated With Thrill Show Acts

The World Famous Royal Canadian Circus announces renowned Daredevil act to join the show in Calgary. Due to a permit holdup at the US border, the Zerbini Performing Elephants and Tigers will not be present this year.

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - May 7, 2014) - The Royal Canadian Circus is a traditional European big top family circus caravan; adult performers, their children and their animals. This year the Calgary show will break with tradition and also feature some thrilling new acts.

"Imagine riding a Motorcycle on a high wire suspended 70 feet in the air, while dangling a trapeze artist and performing acrobatic stunts on the handlebars", said Larry Solheim, Circus Tour Manager.

This is the daredevil world of Hans Winn.

Originating from Germany, the Winn Family go back eight generations in the circus world. The Winns were among the first in the world to perform the famed Motorcycle High Wire Act and Hans has amazed hundreds of thousands around the globe with his now famous high wire acts, stunts and aerial escapades.

Hans and Natalia Winn will perform the thrilling Motor Cycle High Wire Act, the death defying Wheel of Destiny and the exciting Dual Sway Poles at the Royal Canadian Circus under Canada's only traditional European Circus Big Top - for 20 performances Friday, May 9th through May 19th, 2014 at the Crossroads Furniture Mart parking lot.

"While the elephants and tigers will not be in our show in Calgary this year we have everything it takes to create the most dazzling, fun-filled entertainment imaginable for the entire family. The surprises we have lined up this year will leave everyone completely enthralled and amazed", added Solheim.

The circus appears to be reaching out to a new demographic - young teens. Circus producer, Tarzan Zerbini discusses his circus audience in this video.

"Hans & Natalia Winn (High Wire Motor Cycle Act, Dual Sway Pole, Wheel of Destiny) are incredible, daring artists who keep audiences electrified during all of their mesmerizing aerial acts", concluded Zerbini.
