DDD launches TriDef 3D Gallery app for 3D tablets, smartphones and TV

LOS ANGELES, May 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DDD Group plc (AIM: DDD; OTCQX: DDDGY), the advanced imaging and 3D solutions company, has launched TriDef 3D Gallery™ on Google Play™.

TriDef 3D Gallery enables users to view 2D and 3D videos and photos in 3D on 3D TVs, smartphones and tablets.

2D videos and photos are automatically converted for 3D viewing on 3D mobile devices. Even users with 2D smartphones and tablets can view videos and photos on a 3D TV by connecting their device wirelessly to a 3D TV.

3D TV output is supported on almost all Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean or newer) 2D devices. This includes the Samsung Galaxy S3/S4/S5, HTC One (M7/M8), Nexus 4/5/7/10, Motorola Moto X, Sony Xperia Z/Z1/Z2, LG G2 and most other phones/tablets released since 2012.

Compatible 3D mobile devices include: the Gadmei E8 products (MiTraveler, Viren Micheley, Fusion Inferno, and Memup Slidepad), NEO3DO and Hampoo glasses-free 3D tablets, and suitably updated LG Optimus and HTC Evo 3D mobile phones.

TriDef 3D Gallery is now available as a free download at http://tridef.com/gallery for Android devices from the Google Play store.

The free version allows 12 items per folder and the full version can be accessed with an in-app purchase.

Chris Yewdall, Chief Executive of DDD, said:

"While the majority of mobile devices are still 2D, there are millions more 3D capable TVs in homes each month. We're excited to offer 3D TV owners the ability to enjoy their videos and photos in 3D by connecting their Android tablets and smartphones to their 3D TV."
