Ensighten Named to OTA 2014 Online Trust Honor Roll

Achievement Recognizes the Leading Tag Management Provider's Commitment to Best Practices in Security, Privacy and Data Stewardship

CUPERTINO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 11, 2014) - Ensighten, the fastest-growing enterprise data and tag management provider and company behind the Agile Marketing Platform, today announced it has been named to the Online Trust Alliance (OTA) 2014 Online Trust Honor Roll for the third consecutive year. The nomination was based on a composite analysis focusing on three major categories: the company's data protection, security practices and privacy policies.

The OTA is a non-profit aiming to help educate businesses, policy makers and stakeholders while developing and advancing best practices and tools to enhance the protection of users' security, privacy and identity. Each year, OTA releases their Online Trust Honor Roll to recognize businesses and organizations that share a commitment to ensuring their technologies and products foster and enable consumer privacy online. Overall only 30 percent of more than 800 sites made the Honor Roll. Of those, only 12 percent, including Ensighten, made the Honor Roll for the past three years. Conversely, nearly 53 percent failed in one of the three categories.

"As data driven marketing, data security and privacy become pivotal issues for every business, it is critical that sites manage and respect user's privacy and data security. As a third year recipient of the Online Trust Honor Roll, Ensighten serves as a market leader promoting privacy and data controls in their products, their services and business practices," said Craig Spiezle Executive Director and Founder, Online Trust Alliance.

Ensighten attributes their Honor Roll recognition to the company's continued commitment to supplying organizations and brands with the tools to collect, own and act on consumer data to earn up to 525 percent ROI on digital marketing campaigns, while complying with international privacy laws and protecting consumers' online identity. Through Ensighten Privacy, Ensighten has enabled their customers to control their data collection by third-party applications while helping them to enforce legal compliance for their international site visitors.

"We are honored to be a part of the OTA Honor Roll for the third year in a row," said Josh Manion, Ensighten founder and CEO. "As the global leader in omni-channel data and tag management, Ensighten has always been committed to data stewardship and protecting online privacy. The proliferation of digital touchpoints has made the importance of online privacy even more relevant for consumers and enterprises worldwide. We are proud to help our customers and partners uphold their consumers' trust by ensuring compliance with U.S. and international online privacy laws, as well as with enterprises' own privacy policies. It's great to see our efforts being recognized by the OTA."

Ensighten will partner with the OTA for a webinar to support organizations and brands in protecting users' online privacy. During the webinar, Mark Prince, senior business consultant at Ensighten, and Craig Spiezle, executive director at OTA, will share tips for identifying and fostering good data stewardship practices as a critical part of executing data governance.
