ArmourLite Caliber Series Tritium Illuminated Watch Survives M4 Shotgun Torture Test

The Truth About Guns strapped an ArmourLite AL613 to an M4 Tactical Shotgun to test shock resistance

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla., July 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Robert Farago and Tyler Kee of The Truth About Guns set out to test the shock resistance of an ArmourLite Caliber Series AL613 tritium illuminated watch. The two avid shooters visited the Best of the West Shooting Sports shooting range in Liberty Hill, Texas, and strapped the AL613 to the barrel of a Benelli M4 Tactical Shotgun. With the AL613 firmly in place, the pair unloaded 100 rounds of 12-gauge shotgun shells. Even with the extreme shock of the M4 in action, the watch held up perfectly. Farago wrote that the AL613 "took a licking and kept on ticking." A video clip from the torture test can be viewed here: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/06/robert-farago/armorlite-watch-torture-test/#more-321609

The Caliber Series watches represent the first ArmourLite tritium illuminated watches to feature ultra lightweight polycarbonate case construction with anti-reflective scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Swiss Ronda 515 quartz movements power the watches. Green and orange T25 Swiss tritium markers provide constant illumination. A unidirectional rotating bezel with a tritium marker is great for keeping elapsed time. For the avid diver or outdoorsmen, the watches in the Caliber Series offer 200m of dive-friendly water resistance.

The ArmourLite Caliber Series watches offer the following features:
