BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Sep 15, 2014) - RAMP, the leading provider of next-generation video and search experiences for media, marketing and enterprises, today announced that it has hired two seasoned executives to join its management team. Both executives join RAMP at an important period of growth for the company. RAMP was recently named to the 2014 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America.

"We are thrilled to welcome Bob and Erik to the RAMP team," said Tom Wilde, CEO of RAMP. "Bob brings extensive experience building high tech companies and will help us grow our market presence as we add to our roster of marquee customers for our media and enterprise video solutions. Erik has been a highly-respected innovator in video technology solutions for years and will enable us to add to our growing list of enterprise video solutions and engage with businesses who want to use video to communicate with customers, prospects, and employees."

Bob Orlando has been a CFO for both publicly-traded and privately-held, international, high-tech companies for the past 20+ years. Bob has raised capital in the IPO, secondary and VC capital markets and has had successful M&A transaction experience, with a software industry focus. Prior to joining RAMP, Bob was a CFO and VP of Finance at CallMiner, Inc. He's also been a CFO and VP of Finance at Camiant, Inc., Switchboard and Mathsoft. He graduated from Bentley University with a B.S. in Accounting.

"I'm excited to be joining RAMP at a time of such explosive growth and innovation in the online video space," said Bob Orlando, CFO of RAMP. "As companies look for data-driven solutions to make their video and audio assets more valuable, the opportunities for RAMP are endless. I am looking forward to working with Tom and the entire management team to expand our visibility in the market."

Erik Herz joins RAMP as VP of Business Development and has been innovating with internet media technologies since founding Seattle's first Internet Cafe in 1995. Erik built streaming video applications for Starlight Networks and RealNetworks in the late nineties. He designed a live webcasting application for Cisco while with Virage and cofounded Webcast-in-a-Box -- selling webcast appliances to CNN, Stanford, and the US Navy. Later, he drove new business development for the Kontiki group at VeriSign and, as the Video Services Director at VBrick in 2008, he was granted a patent for streaming video in a unified communications context. Most recently, Erik was the Director of Business Development at MediaPlatform where he closed several F500 deals and strategic partnerships. He holds a BA from Humboldt State University.

"This is a critical time to join RAMP as it has proven it can deliver solutions that help businesses leverage their video content, and there is a growing demand across industries to use live and on demand video for engaging with employees, partners and customers," said Erik Herz, VP of Business Development. "I am looking forward to expanding our reach and partnerships across industries for both our media and enterprise solutions while helping our customers use video as a better and more popular medium for communication and engagement."
