Photo Release -- The Madison Square Garden Company Names Scott Henry Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

NEW YORK, Nov. 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Madison Square Garden Company (Nasdaq:MSG) today announced that Scott Henry, a well-regarded executive with more than two decades of experience in creating technology solutions to drive business needs, has been named executive vice president and chief technology officer, effective immediately. Mr. Henry joins the Company from Nielsen Audio (formerly known as Arbitron), where he served as executive vice president and chief information officer.

In this role, Mr. Henry will work with MSG's executive team on the ongoing evolution of the company's strategic vision by assisting with critical objectives related to software development, engineering and technology. This includes collaborating with the Company's businesses to help them ensure they have the infrastructure and technology framework they need to support their goals. Mr. Henry will also be responsible for exploring strategic partnerships that help ensure MSG is maximizing the value of its technology and capital investments. In addition, he will oversee all of the Company's enterprise systems, mobile devices and collection of consumer-facing Web sites.

Mr. Henry joins MSG after spending nine years at Nielsen Audio, a leading media research company (formerly known as Arbitron), where he most recently served as executive vice president and chief information officer. During his time with the company, Mr. Henry provided technological oversight, direction and strategy for the organization, including in the areas of software development and delivery, application maintenance, data center operations and technical support. Prior to joining Arbitron in 2005, he held senior executive positions with several high-technology companies, including E5 Systems, Vitria Technology and TalkingNets. From 1994 to 2000, Mr. Henry held executive positions with increasing responsibility at Verizon Communications, where he oversaw initiatives that included new billing systems, integrated customer care applications, and business process reengineering. Mr. Henry started his career as an economist and systems analyst at the U.S. Department of Labor, and also held senior positions at Price Waterhouse (now known as PwC) from 1993 to 1994 and Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture) from 1985 to 1993. 

He earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The College of William & Mary and did graduate work at George Mason University.
