David Rose to Keynote at Upcoming LearnLaunch Edtech Conference on January 23-24, 2015 at Harvard Business School

David Rose, Michael Horn, and Alan November to Speak at Conference


BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Jan 6, 2015) - LearnLaunch Institute today announced that David Rose, developmental neuropsychologist, professor at Harvard Graduate School of Education, and co-founder of CAST, will be one of the four keynote speakers at its third annual conference Across Boundaries: Delivering on Edtech's Promise on January 23-24, 2015 at Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts. Michael Horn, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Clayton Christensen Institute, will interview keynote speaker Jose Ferreira, Founder & CEO of Knewton, in a fireside chat. This year's conference will focus on empowering the education technology community to build, use, and deliver effective and engaging digital tools and learning experiences. More than 600 people are expected to participate, including investors, entrepreneurs, educators, industry leaders, and students.

The conference kicks off with a summit for investors on the business of education, which will feature two panel discussions and a pitch competition for promising edtech startups. Panelists include Jon Karlen of Atlas Ventures; Adam Valkin of General Catalyst; Matt Greenfield of Rethink Education; Bill Triant of Pearson; and John Kim of Harvard Business School.

The conference will feature 21 panel discussions and interactive workshops led by edtech experts from across the United States, including Paul Dakin, Superintendent of Revere Public Schools; Diana Stepner, VP of Innovation Partnerships and Developer Relations at Pearson; Anthony Kim, Founder and CEO of Education Elements; Kris Clerkin, Executive Director of College for America at Southern New Hampshire University; Renee Foster, President and Publisher at Curriculum Associates; and Tom Raffio, Chairman of the New Hampshire Board of Education.
