Authentify xFA(TM) Named Most Innovative e-Security Solution for 2015 by Banking Frontiers' Technoviti Awards

MUMBAI, India, Jan. 13, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Authentify, a Gartner "Visionary" authentication services vendor, today announced that its Authentify xFA mobile multi-factor authentication app was selected as the Most Innovative e-Security Solution by judges of the 2015 Technoviti Awards, sponsored by Banking Frontiers. Authentify will be honored during the Technoviti award ceremony on January 16, 2015 at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai, India.

The award-winning Authentify xFA app delivers an easy way for enterprises to authenticate remote end users by employing the end user's telephone or smart device as an effective proxy for a security token. The xFA use of embedded PKI digital certificates, multiple biometrics and a user interface that makes strong authentication simple, were among the criteria that culminated in the Technoviti award merit.

"Mobile connectivity and BYOD in the workplace is a global opportunity, provided you can accomplish it securely," offered Robert Soden, Authentify's Managing Director of the Asia Pacific division. "We believe the Technoviti judges appreciated the underlying strength of Authentify xFA while preserving the user experience to make multi-factor authentication simple."

The Technoviti 2015 Awards were created by Banking Frontiers, a magazine and online property aimed at the banking, financial services, and insurance industries in India and South Asia. A panel of international CIOs, CTOs, and IT specialists spent considerable time hand-selecting the category winners.

About Authentify:

Authentify provides intuitive and consistent multi-factor authentication services for protecting user accounts or key information from unauthorized access. Where many authentication techniques are powerless when valid credentials are wielded by hackers and imposters, Authentify offers certainty and certainty is power.

Authentify introduced the global security community to its phone-based user authentication services in 2001. Its original phone-based Security as a Service (SaaS) revolutionized the two-factor authentication market. Two-factor authentication (2FA), or two-step verification (2SV), has become a standard for protecting accounts of all types. Authentify xFA mobile multi-factor authentication technology, which employs app end points on smart devices, was introduced in 2013.
