Arkansas Razorback Team Invitational and Camel City Elite track meets to be contested on Mondo tracks


FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. and WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Jan. 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- This weekend, two prestigious indoor track meets will be held on tracks made by Mondo, the global leader in the track and field, indoor sport and contract flooring markets.

The first meet, the Arkansas Razorback Team Invitational, Jan. 30-31, will pit athletes from 14 universities from the Midwest and South in a contest taking place on a Mondo Super X Performance surface at the Randal Tyson Track Center on the campus of University of Arkansas.

Mondo Super X Performance also will serve as the competition surface for nine other significant indoor track meets this season taking place at the NCAA Division I university, including the SEC Championship in February and the 2015 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships in March.

The second meet, the Camel City Elite, will take place Jan. 30 at JDL Fast Track. One of the premier indoor track and field facilities in the Southeast, JDL Fast track features a Mondotrack, which was the track of the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympic Games. A set of elite races held within the larger collegiate Hilton Garden Invitational, Camel City Elite is a competition for professional athletes who will be vying for $40,000 in prize money and bonuses.

Mondotrack also will be the competition surface for numerous other important track meets this year at JDL Fast Track; the venue will host multiple NCAA Division I and Division II conference meets in 2015 as well as the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships and USA Track & Field Masters Indoor Track & Field Championships, both taking place in March.
