Hofseth BioCare ASA (HBC) launched its enhanced marine calcium at the Expo West Show, Los Angeles in March. The product has received much attention and interest from foreign customers.
HBC has during the autumn and winter upgraded its production line for CalGo (TM) production to satisfy the stringent quality requirements for a calcium product. The new production line provides a safer and more efficient process for calcium for human consumption.
- The upgraded production line at Midsund ensures a clean and unique marine calcium. We have presented our study together with the new product and this has led to commercial sales for CalGo (TM), primarily to customers in the US and Europe. The product will also be presented in Asia during the spring, says CEO Jon Olav Ødegård Hofseth BioCare ASA.
CalGo (TM) is a marine calcium produced from fish bones without any additives or chemicals. The product is a natural bone powder and recent studies show that the body has a higher absorption of calcium that comes from fish than calcium from other calcium sources. Marine calcium helps to improve skeletal strength and mass.
HBC will deliver the first orders to US and European customers during April and May 2015.
