Long-Time Cabbage Patch Kid & Little People Collectors Appreciated with a Highly Prized Gift

Hand-Stitched To Birth In Cleveland, Ga.

CLEVELAND, Ga., April 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Long-Time Collectors Appreciated with a Highly Prized Gift

Borne from Southern-style hospitality and awarded for Spring Event attendance at 10, 20 and 25 year intervals, the milestone gifts are prized among Little People® Collector Club members. Scheduled April 27th through May 1 at BabyLand General Hospital in Cleveland, Ga., the annual event is in its 28th year with a Hawaiian Luau theme for 2015. Limited by space the Registration Fee for Current Collector Club members is $185 and accepted through Aprill 22.

Hand signed by artist Xavier Roberts, the milestone anniversary gifts start with a hand-made, miniature Cabbage Bud Corsage, to 7-inch Pocket Babies, which some collectors discreetly display like a badge of honor. A work of art on a tiny canvas, barely 2- inches wide, these keepsake gifts have hand-painted eyes as well as the detailed tug of a stitch that brings their personality to life.

Bringing devoted collectors as well as First Time attendees from across the United States, Canada, Britain and as far away as Malaysia, only consecutive-year registered Spring Event attendees have the opportunity to receive these valuable keepsakes of appreciation, which celebrate the Appalachian folk art roots of creator Xavier Roberts Little People and Cabbage Patch Kids.

The Collectors Club as well as its events started a decade after Xavier's adoptable babies were available for adoption at BabyLand General. The 2015 event transforms BabyLand into a tropical paradise. Plumeria and pikake blooms are just a few of the flowers that BabyLand's Bunnybees mingled with the Magic Crystals and sprinkled over the Cabbage Patch. Activities range from a crafts workshop, memorabilia sale, a Luau and the "dash", where attendees have the first opportunity to adopt a hand-made, hand-signed, Collectors Club Spring Event Kid with an Adoption Fee of $399.

The BabyLand General Hospital staff administer mega doses of "Imagicillin," to these events from Cowboy Round Up, Hollywood, Camp Cabbage to a list that spans almost three decades. One day, Tuesday, April 28th at 9 a.m., the public is invited to meet and adopt BabyLand's hand-made, Spring Event Little People® Side Kick. The size of a 20" Newborn, these babies are ready for a trip to the

Hawaiian Islands. Collectors usually wait for BabyLand's doors to open at 9 a.m. This year's edition is limited to just 100 babies, the Adoption Fee for BabyLand's Side Kick is $299.

After treated with so much TLC (Tender Loving Care), collectors find the most important and priceless are the friendships made through the camaraderie and appreciation of Xavier Roberts' adoptable babies that were first named Little People, hand-stitched to birth in the Georgia Mountains.
