Anaheim, Calif., May 05, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Millennials taking time away from their careers, family and friends to travel the world in a quest for once-in-a-lifetime experiences can add scuba diving to the top of their bucket list, thanks in large part to PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors). The leading scuba diving organization today announced a year-long partnership with Contiki—the world’s number one travel company for 18-35 year olds—combining PADI’s expertise in underwater exploration with Contiki’s aptitude for offering affordable, international and exotic trips to more than 50 countries. As a result of the collaboration, millennial travelers will have the opportunity to discover the underwater world and amazing adventures that scuba diving offers during several new Contiki escorted tours.

“Traveling is a top priority for many millennials, as they want the ability to explore the world on their own terms while sharing it with friends and family every step of the way,” said Kristin Valette, vice president marketing and communications, PADI Americas. “Through our partnership with Contiki, young travelers will have the time of their lives and experience the world from a new perspective—with group trips exploring the two-thirds of the world that’s covered by water—through scuba diving.”

Contiki partners with local PADI Dive Centers and Resorts at various locations around the globe to deliver dive experiences to travelers while on vacation. One popular scuba trip offered by Contiki is the “learn to dive” package, which combines classroom and pool training with dives in nine of the Great Barrier Reef’s best dive sites.
