Bounty of Yamhill County (BOYC) Celebrates Esteemed Wineries, Chefs, Farms Aug. 28-30

Food, Wine Festival Benefits Yamhill Enrichment Society, Ranked No. 2 Nationwide by USA TODAY, 10Best


MCMINNVILLE, OR--(Marketwired - May 13, 2015) - The Bounty of Yamhill County (BOYC), an annual summer celebration of the wineries, farms and chefs that contribute to the Oregon region's world-class reputation, will be held August 28-30. Tickets will be available online starting May 13 at www.bountyofyamhillcounty.com, and proceeds will benefit the Yamhill Enrichment Society (YES). First held in 2012, the three-day festival has established itself among the country's best food festivals in just three short years. Readers of USA TODAY and 10Best voiced their support for BOYC, which recently placed second on the list of Best General Food Festivals in the country.

BOYC offers a line-up of special events around Yamhill County over an extended weekend:

  • Friday's Welcome Dinners with winemakers in Newberg and McMinnville, Oregon, feature pairings of chef Paul Losch with wines from Owen Roe, chef Jesse Kincheloe with wines from Matzinger-Davies, and chef Scott Cunningham with wines from Dominio IV.

  • Saturday offers a day of artisan producer tours and lunch, with tours available at Even Pull Farm, Oregon Barrel Works, Maysara and Kookoolan Farms followed by lunch at Stoller Family Estates. In the evening, Adelsheim Vineyard, WillaKenzie Estate and Erath Winery host dinners catered by Recipe: A Neighborhood Kitchen, Subterra: A Wine Cellar Restaurant and JORY at The Allison Inn & Spa, respectively.

  • Sunday offers an afternoon of custom classes and experiences, including an herb wreath class at Red Ridge Farms, plein air painting with Currents Gallery at Winter's Hill Vineyard, a Willamette River paddle with an Argyle Winery picnic, and a food and wine pairing class with Wine Country Cooking Studio and Dobbes Family Estate.

  • Sunday evening, the festival draws to a close with an al fresco dining feast at Sokol Blosser Winery, featuring 20 chef, farmer and wine pairings.

Reservations are required for all events, and ticket prices range from $75 to $150 and a BOYC 'All In' Package is $450 for all five events ($100 savings).
