Quick Facts
- Fishery Officers are the federal government's first line in support of the Fisheries Act, and other related acts and regulations.
- In addition to protecting fishery resources and fish habitat, fishery officers promote compliance and conservation, stewardship and sustainability of fisheries. Fishery officers work hard to build awareness about enforcement activities and conservation goals through public events and public education.
