Government of Canada Supports the third annual Saint-Pierre-Baptiste Rock Fest


SAINT-PIERRE-BAPTISTE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - May 15, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of International Development, Minister for La Francophonie and Member of Parliament (Mégantic-L'Érable), today announced $36,000 in funding for the third annual Saint-Pierre-Baptiste Rock Fest, which is taking place from August 28 to 30, 2015. Minister Paradis made this announcement on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

This funding is granted under the Local Festivals component of the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program. The Saint-Pierre-Baptiste Rock Fest will bring together artists and residents of Centre-du-Québec in a celebration of rock 'n' roll.

  • Rock Fest will feature more than 100 artists over three days at the Saint-Pierre-Baptiste sugar bush.
  • Festival artists will get the crowd moving to the sound of rock music from all eras. The program will have three components: new and emerging artists, tribute bands and retro sounds.
