ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill., June 8, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Topco Associates LLC recently announced at its June Board Meeting that John Lucot, President and Chief Operating Officer of Giant Eagle, Inc., was unanimously elected to serve as Vice Chairman on the Topco Associates LLC Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Lucot has served on the Topco Associates LLC Board of Directors since 2012. As well, Giant Eagle, Inc. has been a member of Topco since 1962 with participation in several of the cooperative's many programs, including Frozen, Grocery, HBC/GM, Dairy/Bakery, Fresh Meat, Branded Meat, Produce, National Brands and Indirect Spend. Said Lucot regarding his new position on Topco's LLC Board, "I'm looking forward to taking on a greater role in Topco and helping to represent its nearly 50 members, as we continue to aggregate and share our collective knowledge management and innovative best practices to remain competitive in our respective marketplaces."
