Waterloo Brewing Co. Continues Its Winning Ways at the 2015 Canadian Brewing Awards

KITCHENER, ON--(Marketwired - June 10, 2015) - Waterloo Brewing Co., the craft brewing division of Brick Brewing Co. Limited ("Brick" or the "Company") (TSX: BRB), the largest Canadian-owned and Canadian-based publicly held brewery in Ontario, announced today that they were awarded bronze medals for Waterloo Dark and Waterloo IPA at the recent Canadian Brewing Awards.

"Waterloo Dark was our first craft beer in 1984 and the inspiration for creating our craft beer division just a few short years ago," said Russell Tabata, Chief Operating Officer. "We wanted to brew our craft beers at a level of quality that would be unmatched. We brew with four simple ingredients -- hops, water, barley and yeast -- and our brewing process sets the bar on product quality. At Monde Selection in Belgium, our Waterloo IPA, Amber, Oatmeal Porter, Vanilla Porter and Grapefruit Radler were all awarded gold medals for quality."

"The Canadian Brewing Awards have become intensely competitive," said Sean Dennis, Director of Marketing. "Over two hundred different breweries entered with over twelve hundred different beers. For Waterloo IPA to win bronze in the all-important British IPA category is further proof of what our drinkers have known all along. Waterloo IPA is a winner."

"Waterloo Dark has been an award-winning dark lager since it was first introduced thirty years ago," continued Dennis. "This bronze medal in the North American Style Dark Lager category affirms Waterloo Dark's position as one of the best beers in the country."

"It's the quality of ingredients and the brewing process that sets real craft beers apart," stated George Croft, President and CEO. "We're very proud of our all-malt, crafted beers and the people who brew them. No short cuts. Just the best beer we can possibly make."
