Eltel signed a new long-term contract with Stockholm Public Transportation

SL, AB Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (Stockholm Public Transportation) has chosen
Eltel its maintenance partner on Lidingöbanan and Spårväg City, two of
Stockholms central tram lines. The contract start date is beginning of 2016 and
it will run until the end of 2021.
The six-year contract of Eltel’s Rail & Road business unit is about preventive
and corrective maintenance and it consists of maintenance and reinvestment
projects on tracks, track foundations, catenary and signalling systems. Eltel’s
business with SL started in 2005 with an award of maintenance contract for
telecommunication systems. In 2010, SL renewed this contract with Eltel until
2017. This year Eltel completes a two-year long project regarding renovations of
Lidingöbanan.

Johan Staaf, Contract manager at SL comments:
“We are looking forward to a good cooperation with Eltel and expect qualitative
deliveries in a contract with high demands on functional commitment and long
-term development”.

Fredrik Häggström, President Eltel Rail & Road comments:
“SL is a key customer in Eltel’s transport business. In some areas we are
forerunners like in statistics, follow-up regarding SLA’s (Service Level
Agreement) and preventive maintenance diagnostics. The new contract is an
important complement to our existing telecom business with SL and a strategic
step to establish Eltel as a partner in rail maintenance”.
