Raia Re-Elected as State Republican Chairman

10th Longest Serving State Chairman in US


TRENTON, N.J., July 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Earlier this month, the New Jersey Republican State Committee unanimously re-elected Saddle River Mayor Samuel Raia as State Chairman, making Raia the 10th longest serving State Chairman in the United States.

Bill Palatucci, long-time advisor to Governor Christie lauded Raia's efforts on behalf of the Governor and the NJ Republican Party. "Sam has been a great partner to work with on behalf of Gov. Christie. Together we've raised records amount of money for the state party and reelected a Republican governor in a very difficult state. No one has been more loyal to Gov. Christie than Sam Raia."

Mayor Raia has over 31 years of business experience beginning in the Construction Materials business and evolving into the Real Estate Development and Management business. He graduated Seton Hall University with an Accounting Degree and later earned an MBA in Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University. An energetic community leader and business advocate, Mayor Raia volunteers his time to numerous organizations, including serving on the board of both Hackensack University Medical Center and the New Jersey Commerce and Industry Association and served on Governor Christie's Transportation Transition Team. He and his wife, Tina Mary, have four children and eleven grandchildren.
