Dr. Matthias Peschke joins management of First Sensor AG
Proven expert in the field of the semiconductor and electronics industry to
become new head of Competence Center Production
Berlin, 18. August 2015 - Dr. Matthias Peschke is to become the head of the
Competence Center Production of First Sensor AG effective September 7,
2015. In this role, Dr. Peschke will be responsible for production sites in
Berlin, Dresden and Oberdischingen.
"Dr. Peschke is proven expert in the field of the semiconductor and
electronics industry and has held various senior management roles at both
corporations and start-ups over the past years. He has established chip
factories in China and Taiwan and lived in the USA for two years. This
combination of technical expertise and multicultural management knowhow
makes him the ideal person for us for this important position", said Dr.
Martin U. Schefter, CEO of First Sensor AG.
Dr. Peschke completed his degree in Physics at TU Darmstadt and wrote his
doctorate on the topic of "The mode of operation and technology of
gas-sensitive field-effect transistors." He began his professional career
at Siemens in Munich and at IBM in the USA, before moving to Infineon in
Dresden. Here he coordinated cross-site technology transfers and was
responsible for the development of series production processes. After 15
years at Siemens/Infineon, Dr. Peschke moved to the Advanced Mask
Technology Center in Dresden. He then joined Masdar PV GmbH, where he
managed production and the establishment of two thin-film lines, set up
teams, introduced a QM system, and expanded cooperation with universities.
After just two years, Dr. Peschke was appointed COO of Masdar PV GmbH. Dr.
Peschke's most recent position was as a consultant for GLOBALFOUNDRIES and
Dhabi Holdings, an investor domiciled in Abu Dhabi.
The Competence Center Production focuses on core expertise in the fields of
manufacturing, production logistics, supplier management and productivity
gains. Around 450 employees work at the locations in
Berlin-Oberschöneweide, Berlin-WeiÃensee, Dresden-Klotzsche and
Oberdischingen near Ulm.
