Air Force Global Strike Command Selects Applied Research Associates Inc. for Project Support


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Oct. 8, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Air Force Installation Contracting Agency, Operating Location Global Strike Command (AFICA-KG) awarded Applied Research Associates Inc. (ARA) a $3M contract to support Air Force Global Strike Command's (AFGSC) requirements development for next-generation technologies and associated infrastructure. The ARA team will provide onsite services at two U.S. Air Force bases, during a three-year period of performance, from 2015 to 2018.

As a recognized leader in National Security technologies, ARA brings a depth of expertise in supporting the AFGSC ICBM requirements mission.

Air Force Global Strike Command is the focal point for requirements definition, development, and advocacy of current and future mission needs to meet Air Force, USSTRATCOM, DoD, and national objectives. AFGSC monitors research and development efforts and actively participates in acquisition planning for development of future systems. AFGSC assesses the future threat, technology, funding, and current arms control treaties and their collective impacts on acquisition processes and warfighters needs.

The ARA team will execute this contract in partnership with Summit Technology Solutions, LLC (STS), a certified WBE, Veteran, and Woman-owned small business providing innovative, responsive, and committed technology solutions for systems engineering, software engineering, test & training, and records management.

Additionally, the ARA team will provide system test and decision analysis, counter-proliferation support and analysis, resource allocation analysis and development, and technical information systems through coordinated efforts with other Air Force agencies, Services, and the Joint Staff.
