TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 19, 2015) - Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) will celebrate its 93rd anniversary and recognize the contributions to the profession of three MPPs at a reception at Queen's Park on Wednesday, October 21. This will be the association's ninth reception at Queen's Park. The first was held in 2005.
Confirmed speakers at the 2015 event include the Hon. Madeleine Meilleur, Attorney General, MPP Ottawa-Vanier; and Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown, MPP Simcoe North and PC Education and Training, Colleges and Universities Critic. PEO President Thomas Chong, MSc, P.Eng., PMP, FEC, and Karen Chan, MBA, P.Eng., President and Chair, Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, will also speak. Sixty-six MPPs are confirmed to attend.
The reception will feature the first "Engineering Games" at Queen's Park, in which teams of MPPs, students and professional engineers will build a simple structure within a time limit using supplied materials.
