FatPipe Announces Support for Secure Web Gateways, Including Zscaler and Others

Continuing Verified Interoperability Between the Inventors of SD-WAN and Other Mature Security and Networking Product Vendors

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - November 16, 2015) - FatPipe Networks, the inventor of software defined networks for wide area connectivity, hybrid and multiline WANs, announced support for secure web gateways including Zscaler's cloud-based information security platform. With this support, FatPipe customers are able to offload Internet destined traffic to local Internet connection(s) while maintaining centralized control of their security parameter though a secure web gateway service.

"Maintaining a centralized security parameter and ensuring protection of data at branches has been a key concern slowing the adoption of the hybrid and multiline WANs," said Sanch Datta, Chief Technical Officer of FatPipe Network. "Traditionally our customers install separate firewalls at each location or backhaul traffic via a VPN back to the data center before allowing it to reach the Internet. This is not the most efficient use of bandwidth or management resources."

By combining FatPipe's SD-WAN technology with these cloud-based platforms, administrators are able to flow security policies through centralized management. This ensures a stable security parameter while dramatically decreasing the complexity of deploying hybrid and multiline WANs at multiple branches. Similarly, moving applications and security services into the cloud requires the high level of redundancy and increased bandwidth running multiple WAN connections through FatPipe.

FatPipe continues to support the widest range of security and firewall options including integrated, premise-based, or cloud-based. FatPipe is deployed in thousands of enterprise networks around the world. In addition to Zscaler, FatPipe has field proven interoperability with all mature vendors such as Adtran, Avaya, Checkpoint, Cisco, Citrix, Fortigate, Watchguard, Websense, Oracle, Palo Alto, Riverbed, Shortel, and VMWare.
