Security First Corp. CEO to Speak at Gartner Data Center, Infrastructure & Operations Management Conference 2015

Mark O'Hare to Join Leading Security Industry Experts to Discuss Benefits of Data-Centric Technology to Secure Enterprise Data

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 8, 2015) - Security First Corp. (booth # 572), the industry leader in software-defined, data-centric security, announced today that the company's President and Chief Executive Officer Mark O'Hare, along with three other leading security experts, will present at "The New Paradigm: Software-Defined Data-Centric Security & High Availability" session at the Gartner Data Center, Infrastructure & Operations Management Conference on Tuesday, Dec. 8 in Las Vegas, Nevada. O'Hare will be joined by esteemed data and cloud security experts including, Michael Suby, vice president of research at Frost & Sullivan, Rick Bueno, founder and chief strategy officer of Cyber Reliant Corp., and John Mullaly, offering manager of IBM Cloud Analytics Application Services and IBM Master Inventor. They will discuss the benefits of using advanced software-defined, data-centric security technology to secure enterprise data beyond perimeter-based and access-control solutions, no matter what the environment -- local, remote or cloud, public, private or hybrid.

"Unfortunately breaches that result from only protecting the network perimeter and access-control points in an enterprise have become increasingly commonplace. Now, more than ever, organizations need to determine how to best protect the enterprise data itself," said O'Hare. "A strong security strategy must include data-centric security that protects data at its core. This is made possible through SPx™ technology, which encrypts data, randomly splits it at the bit level, and then disperses it in unreadable pieces to multiple locations. This groundbreaking technology renders the data useless in the event of a breach, with only authenticated users able to access the unencrypted data."

O'Hare has more than 30 years of security-related experience in which he has led multi-million dollar commercial and government security, engineering, and manufacturing programs. He has co-authored over 268 issued, granted or pending patents in the area of data-centric security, high availability, and disaster recovery.

During the session, the panel of security experts will take an in-depth look at the current data security landscape and how implementing the SPx patented data-centric technology can protect data at its core while addressing high availability and disaster recovery concerns. Additionally, they will share how the technology is being deployed by government agencies, mobile manufacturers and point-of-sale manufacturers.

Conference attendees are encouraged to sit in on "The New Paradigm: Software-Defined Data-Centric Security & High Availability" session on Dec. 8 in room Bassano 2601 from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m.
