Cannabis Training Institute Announces Two New eLearning Tracks for Marijuana Dispensary Safety & Medical Cannabis Education

Comprehensive, On-Demand Courses for Advanced Training of Dispensary Staff

SEATTLE, WA --(Marketwired - February 16, 2016) - The Cannabis Training Institute (CTI), the premier online training provider for cannabis businesses today announced the launch of two new eLearning tracks: Dispensary Workers Health & Safety Training and Medical Cannabis Training.

The Health & Safety Training track includes both a Dispensary Workers Health and Safety course and a Substance Abuse and Cannabis Course.

The Dispensary Workers Health and Safety course covers dispensary technician employee rights that are guaranteed by State and Federal laws and regulations, workplace violence and other potentials for injury, as well as robbery awareness. The Substance Abuse & Cannabis Course focuses on defining addiction and identifying signs of drug abuse so dispensary technicians can better interact with their customers and patients.

"The safety of patients and staff is a top priority for marijuana dispensary owners," said Luc Nelson, CTI's Business Development Director. "Like all of CTI's gold-standard training, our health and safety courses are digitally delivered through an in-site learning management system and viewable from any desktop, laptop or mobile device, making it a convenient and effective way to train techs so they can deliver the best and safest customer service possible."

In an effort to provide the most comprehensive medical cannabis training for dispensary owners, CTI also has a new Medical Cannabis track through its collaboration with The Medical Cannabis Institute (TMCI). Medical cannabis courses cover everything from the basics of the endocannabinoid system (the physiologic system related to medical marijuana) to specific cannabis treatments for pain, cancer and other diseases.

Nelson added that CTI's educational modules include audio narrative, video, animation and "checkpoints," or quiz questions. For certified courses, Nelson explained, these checkpoints do not count toward the learner's final score, enabling them to re-take classes if needed to help them study for the certification exam.
