SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 05, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Champion Technology Company, Inc., the 2015 R&D 100 award recipient and creator of DarkLight™, the next-generation cybersecurity automation and orchestration software, is proud to announce the onboarding of three highly regarded industry executives; Jess Richter, David Aucsmith, and Michael Kluse.

  • Jess Richter will serve as Champion’s Chief Revenue Officer and was brought on to build global sales, marketing and customer success teams needed to keep up with the growth and adoption of Champion's patented technology.  "Despite all the compute power we throw at cyber defense, the most significant threats are still found by smart human analysts applying their knowledge and intelligence," says Richter.  "DarkLight captures this human component so it’s a true force multiplier.  There’s real ROI for the CISO and SecOps teams love the new found freedom to hunt for the “one-percenters” -- it’s a win for the whole organization."  Richter has vast experience building relationships with large enterprises, cloud providers and SI's.  He recently served as Vice President, Strategic Alliances at Lieberman Software where he developed the strategy which won them recognition as the Microsoft 2015 Partner of the Year (App Dev).

  • David Aucsmith serves as a Champion Senior Advisor and has over 30-years’ experience in computer security and cybercrime.  “DarkLight integrates the output of all the organization’s cyber-sensors; it can correlate multiple sensor events that are difficult or impossible for cyber analysts to do in real time,” said Aucsmith.  He has served on the technical advisory boards of the National Security Agency, and the National Reconnaissance Office. He is co-chairman of the FBI’s Information Technology Study Group, a member of the Secret Service Task Force on Computer Aided Counterfeiting, a member of the President’s Task Force on National Defense and Computer Technology and a member of the Department of Defense’s Global Information Grid Senior Industry Review Group. Aucsmith was also U.S. industry representative to the G8 Committee on Organized, Transnational, and Technological Crime where he participated directly in the G8 summits in Paris, Berlin and Tokyo.

  • Michael Kluse brings his 40-years of experience in national security research and development to serve as a Champion Senior Advisor to help guide product development and corporate strategy.  He recently retired chief executive of the Department of Energy (DoE) National Research Laboratory, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL).  Mr. Kluse was responsible for the strategic development, execution and overall leadership of PNNL’s national security business serving the DoE, the National Nuclear Security Administration, US Dept. of Defense, Dept. of Homeland Security, the intelligence community and the US Defense industry.  Under Mr. Kluse’s leadership at PNNL, the Champion software was created and patented.
