GuideSpark Announces Further Portland Expansion With Move Into Newly Renovated Historic Pine Street Market Building

Mayor Charlie Hales Joins GuideSpark VP of Operations Stephanie Copeland Weber for Official Ribbon-Cutting and Recruiting Event

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Apr 26, 2016) - GuideSpark, Inc., the leader in workforce communications, was joined today by Portland Mayor Charlie Hales to officially open its new creative hub in downtown Portland. The company is significantly expanding its presence in Portland by taking two floors of the newly renovated historic Pine Street Market building. GuideSpark Vice President of Operations Stephanie Copeland Weber, an executive with the company for more than three years, has relocated from GuideSpark's headquarters in Silicon Valley to lead the company's Portland team.

GuideSpark Co-Founder and CEO Keith Kitani joined Ms. Copeland Weber to host an official grand opening with Mayor Hales, state and city business leaders and government representatives as well as local university officials. Job candidates from the greater Portland area seeking available positions with GuideSpark were also invited to attend. In addition several companies responsible for the renovations of the Pine Street Market building, including Siteworks and many of the restaurant owners participated in the event.

"Portland's creative and diverse talent, combined with the support of the State of Oregon and the City of Portland, drove our selection of Portland as the place to expand our family of Sparks," said Keith Kitani, GuideSpark co-founder and CEO. "I am also excited that Stephanie, a proven leader and team builder, will head up our local operations in such a unique and beautiful building where our team can expand to meet our growing customer demand for our communications solutions."

Ms. Copeland Weber joined GuideSpark in 2013, serving in the company's Silicon Valley headquarters. While there, she established and expanded GuideSpark's Content Services and Customer Success business units, most recently leading the Customer Success team in providing best-in-class deployment, engagement and reach services to GuideSpark's customer base of more than 600 companies, including over 20% of the Fortune 500.

GuideSpark's new Portland HQ is destined to be one of the new crown jewels in the neighborhood, featuring an open concept floor plan flooded with natural light and many historic and green design elements.

The grand opening of the new GuideSpark office also served as a recruiting event where Portland-area residents and students were invited to network with GuideSpark executives and recruiters to ask questions about the company's culture, vision and open positions. The company plans to expand by 10-20 percent in full-time positions and by over 20 contracting positions for the upcoming open enrollment season.

According to Copeland Weber, "Portland is a one-of-a-kind city infused with a thriving creative culture and a wealth of talent: designers, writers, animators and creative services professionals so vital to our business and our customers' needs. We're proud of GuideSpark's mission to make life at work better and we try to bring that employee experience to our own teams as well by providing a great company culture and inspirational workspace."

GuideSpark opened its first Portland office in summer of 2015.
